Elgiloy® is a non-magnetic Cobalt-Chromium-Nickel-Molybdenum alloy with a unique combination of very high resistance, excellent corrosion resistance and high fatigue resistance, also known as Phynox†.
Elgiloy® is highly resistant to tensocorrosion cracking on sulphide and consequently, it is the alloy of choice in the harshest and most demanding environments.
In seawater, Elgiloy® is practically immune to cracks and stress corrosion phenomena and pitting, also at maximum resistance levels and can work at cryogenic temperatures up to 454 °C.
Applications include springs, torsion bars, seals, medical devices and dentistry implants and wire.
